Core pins with thread
for die casting applications
In die casting applications, the mould and built-in parts are exposed to high thermal and mechanical loads. Compared to classic injection moulding, these requirements cause much higher wear. In both cases, however, the longest possible downtimes and the shortest possible maintenance time are decisive for economic efficiency.
To speed up the replacement of wearing parts, KNARR provides a core pin that can be replaced without dismantling the tool. A thread in the head of the pin enables quick and easy mounting and disassembly from the back of the plate. Ideally, the pin is secured to the rear by two set screws that are included in the delivery.
The core pin (37420) with a nominal hardness of ~ 45 HRC is available in standard lengths of 160 mm and 250 mm and in 15 diameters ranging from 5.0 mm to 12.0 mm.
