Positioning wedges
Easy positioning of the mould insert
In the case of moulds with interchangeable inserts, positioning wedges ensure high-precision installation positioning and at the same time allow the necessary clearance for easier installation and removal. Of course, they owe their name to their wedge-like design (angle 6°).
Quick and easy insert change
After the fastening screws on the mould inserts and positioning wedges have been loosened, the inserts including the ejector package can be dismantled. A change directly on the machine saves additional time.
Two types – four lengths – different installation depths
KNARR offers two types of positioning wedges (51300). Depending on the length, either one (length 80 mm and 100 mm) or two (lengths 120 mm and 160 mm) extraction threads are incorporated. The positioning is either in the middle (type 1) or on the lateral edges (type 2). Both types are hardened to ~58 HRC and are available in heights of 30 mm, 45 mm, 60 mm and 80 mm. From lengths of 100 mm, the standard height of 100 mm is also offered.
