Sprue holding pin
with undercut and pre-centering
KNARR presents the standardized version of a universal sprue holding pin. The pin is available in different material executions – hardened (300111), nitrided-oxidized (300414) or DLC-coated (300111DLC). Diameters of 3 mm, 4 mm, 5 mm, 6 mm, 8 mm, 10 mm and 12 mm and lengths up to 400 mm can be supplied at short notice.
There is a standardized undercut at the end of the shaft. Due to this design, the solidified plastic is retained in the distribution channels. This ensures that the sprue is in the correct position when it is removed from the mould. At the same time, the use of handling systems becomes significantly easier. Surfaces on both sides of the head prevent the sprue holding pin from unintentional twisting in the cavity. A circumferential bevel serves as a pre-centering.
The sprue holding pin is delivered completely ready for installation, i.e. shortened to the required length including anti-twist protection and undercut on the shaft. Furthermore, engravings are possible on request. The outline is suitable for all common plastics. Technical and design data is available in our web shop.
